Dating a younger man may seem like fun,
But who knows until dating has begun?
And if he's not of your generation,
Age may well be a source of frustration.
Your own thoughts and dreams may be far too high,
For a young buck with his pie in the sky.
You don't think the same way, maybe you should.
Do you see as bad, what he says is good?
He may be like a child, but you've grown up.
Would you love a dog that's always a pup?
A father wants his daughter to live life
Free from problems, as a mother and wife.
When you are twelve, it is hard to relate,
What can happen to girls on their first date.
Would you date a boy who is only six?
He would not know how your bike tire to fix.
When you are sixteen, he will then be ten;
He's still a boy; you're a young lady then.
When you turn twenty, he will be fourteen.
Is he a date with whom you would be seen?
When you are thirty, he is twenty four.
You're settled in your ways, but he wants more.
When you find the right man, your love will show,
Now you're far too young and need time to grow.
You have your dreams. I have some for you, too.
Until you're of age, I'm the man for you.
A father discusses the topic of dating a younger man, with his daughter.
