Sonnets About Rain Forests: The Rain Forest Fountain

Endangered is the key word for rain forests;
With population explosions in the world.
Temperate or tropical, the concern rests;
Criticisms about over-use are hurled.

The Amazon rain forest, the equator,
A half of the world's rain forests, where we see,
Deforestation there, man's prone to cater;
Lush, wet growth shrinking, is a reality.

Temperate rain forests too, are in danger;
Diversity of plants, an animal 'zoo'.
Montane rain forests to man may seem stranger,
While they are being over-harvested, too.

Rain forests, as a jungle or a mountain,
High waterfall is not an endless fountain.

Deforestation should be coupled with reforestation in the rain forests.
